| Q - Is the retreat center at the hermitage? |
A - No, the retreat center is about a 20-minute drive from the hermitage, some of which is dirt road.

| Q - How do I get to the Retreat Center? |
A - We are east of Eureka Springs off Hwy. 62 on Onyx Cave Rd. Turn north off Hwy 62 onto County Road (CR) 207 (Onyx Cave Road). We are 4.9 miles out Onyx Cave Rd. Look for our sign.

| Q - I am planning to fly. What airport should I use? |
A - The closest airport is Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport (XNA). It is about 1-1/2 hours from the center. You can either rent a car or arrange for airport shuttle service to get to the retreat center. There is also a new airport in Branson, MO.

| Q - I am scheduled for one of John Michael's retreats. Can I also see the monastery? |
A - Yes, there is a tour of the monastery scheduled on Saturday at 6:15 pm, followed by Mass at 7 pm. For private retreatants or visitors to the area, tours of the monastery are also done by appointment in the afternoons. Please call the hermitage at 479 253-7710 to arrange your tour.

| Q - Is there Mass at the retreat center? |
A - Yes, on Monday-Wednesday-Friday the Divine Office is prayed at 8:15 am and Mass is celebrated at 8:30 am. Divine office is also prayed Monday-Friday at 4:30 pm. Saturday is an unscheduled day - private prayers not group prayer.

| Q - Can I join the Brothers & Sisters of Charity for prayers? |
A -Yes! All are welcome to come to the monastery for prayer. Monday-Wednesday-Friday we have morning prayer at 6:45 am followed by a Communion Service. On Tuesday-Thursday mornings Mass and office begin at 6:45 am. Our evening prayer service is 5:30 pm – 6 pm Monday through Friday. Saturday is an unscheduled day of private prayer - no group prayers. Generally, we have Mass on Sunday at 11 am but call ahead – it is sometimes on Saturday night at 7 pm.

| Q - What is included in a scheduled retreat? |
A - The $225.00 fee includes two nights of semi-private lodging, three days of sessions and six health home-cooked meals. There is a light meal on Friday night, breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday, and breakfast and lunch on Sunday.

| Q - What if no one is there when I arrive? |
A -We try to be on site when we know your arrival time at the retreat center. In the event that you are delayed or have a late arrival, our home phone is listed on the bulletin boards. Please call us so that we can greet you and show you to your room.

| Q - I’d like to attend one of John Michael Talbot’s retreats. When do they begin and end? |
A -You may arrange to arrive a few days earlier and/or stay a few days longer to continue to renew your spirit. Check with Jackie at the Retreat Center for availability. Otherwise, registration begins at noon on Friday. There is evening prayer at 4:30 pm; a light dinner and orientation at 6 PM and the first session begins at 7:00 pm.
The retreat session ends at 12:00 pm on Sunday – lunch is available at noon at the conclusion of the last session.
Q - Can I celebrate a special occassion - birthday, anniversary at the retreat center? A - We encourage you to let us know of any special event specifically during the retreat and we can arrange for a special blessing and prayer. |
